CENTIN Team Ruuners-up at Grand Entrepreneurial DICE-INVENT Event 2016

CENTIN incubate Ms. Kiran Zafar start-up "From Banana to Paper" who secured 2nd Position (Category-C: Art & Humanity, Business and Social Sciences) and a Prize Money of Rs. 50,000/- in the biggest entrepreneurial event in Pakistan "DICE Invent 2016" organized by NUST, Islamabad on 21-22nd December, 2016.

There were four categories of Innovation Projects:

  • Category A: Engineering & Technology, Computer Sciences and Information Technology
  • Category B: Physical Sciences and Agricultural Sciences
  • Category C: Arts & Humanities, Business and Social Sciences
  • Category D: Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences and Veterinary Sciences

Total 296 teams participated in all the above mentioned four categories from around 60 universities all across Pakistan. Ms. Kiran Zafar competed with 68 teams in Category-C and made her way to the top.

DICE-INVENT differs from other business competitions as it focuses on prototypes and venture creation and not the business plan only.
