Social Welfare Activity - Career Counselling

Department of Information Systems in collaboration with the IS Club and CENTIN conducted a career counseling session in Govt. Watan Islamia High School for Boys, Railway Road in Collaboration with Ilm O Adab (An NGO committed to improving quality of life and quality of education at government schools in the developing countries).

A total of four faculty members from the IS Department took part in this social welfare activity; namely, Dr. Nauman Shah (CoD), Mr Abdul Ghaffar (Lecturer), Mr Usman Khalid (Director CENTIN) and Mr Shahreyar Mohammad Khan (Lecturer).

The faculty members held an information session at 9:30 AM at the school auditorium regarding the importance of a well-defined career path and the occupations of the future. 

The information session was followed by a one on one Q&A session with the students of 10th grade. Each faculty member was assigned one section and they conducted a detailed 2 hours session, answering questions of each student regarding their future and what to aim at.

The activity was aimed at giving back to the society, putting in an effort to help make a difference and to provide a much-needed direction to the students who are to be the future of our country.
