Special Talk on Regional Economic Outlook at HSM with Ms. Esther Perez Ruiz

The HSM Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods hosted a special talk on Regional Economic Outlook by Ms. Esther Perez Ruiz, the Resident Representative of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Pakistan. Ms. Esther, visited the Dr Hasan Murad School of Management at
UMT, Lahore, for a discussion session with the faculty members and students on April 30, 2024. And Mr. Fillipo Gori, Chief Economist have joined the discussion forum online from IMF Headquarters at
Washington, D.C.
The visit was characterized by insightful conversation & discussion, delving into topics such as the challenges of an "Uneven Recovery Amidst High Uncertainty", as well as the dynamics of “Trade Patterns Amid shocks & Changing Geoeconomic Landscape”.
President UMT and Former Minister Mr. Ibrahim Hasan Murad also had insightful conversation with the guests highlighting the university's commitment to fostering dialogue on global economic matters.
