Industry Visit to Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX)

The Department of Banking and Finance at Dr. Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM), UMT, organized an industry visit to Pakistan Mercantile Exchange, providing MBA, BSAF, and BBA students with valuable exposure to Pakistan’s commodities trading ecosystem. The visit enabled students to gain practical insights into the workings of the country's premier commodities exchange and its role in the financial sector.
Throughout the session, students explored key concepts related to commodity trading, market operations, risk management, and financial instruments while interacting with industry professionals. They also developed a deeper understanding of how theoretical concepts in banking and finance are applied in real-world trading environments and financial markets.
