Prize Distribution Ceremony & Book Launch

The Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods at Dr. Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM), UMT, organized the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the Article Writing Competition, alongside the launch of the thought-provoking book Breaking the Trap: Debt, Inflation, Interest, and Poverty. The event celebrated academic excellence while encouraging critical dialogue on pressing economic issues.
The ceremony featured Mr. Qanit Khalilullah, Chairman of the Policy Research Initiative for Zakat-Based Economy (PRIZE), as the guest speaker. Drawing on his extensive leadership experience at Unilever Pakistan and Ufone (Etisalat Telecom Group), he shared valuable insights into contemporary economic challenges, policy frameworks, and sustainable approaches to addressing issues such as debt, inflation, interest, and poverty.
The event provided a meaningful platform to recognize student achievement while fostering intellectual discussion and knowledge sharing.
