The Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods at Dr Hasan Murad School of Management (HSM), UMT, organized an engaging session on "SBP Monetary Policy Framework & Macroeconomic Management." The session aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of how the State Bank of Pakistan’s monetary policy influences the country’s economy.
Mr. Fida Hussain, Director of the Economic Policy Review Department at the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Karachi, was the guest speaker. He shared his expertise on the SBP’s approach to managing inflation, interest rates, and overall economic stability, while also discussing the broader challenges of macroeconomic management in Pakistan. The session offered students a valuable opportunity to interact with an industry expert and gain practical insights into economic policymaking.
