Industry Visit and MoU Signing with Punjab Economic Research Institute (PERI)

The Department of Economics and Quantitative Methods at Dr Hasan Murad School of Management, UMT, organized an insightful industry visit to the Punjab Economic Research Institute (PERI), Planning & Development Board. The Director of PERI opened the session by highlighting the institute’s pivotal role in supporting evidence-based policymaking in Punjab and expressed a strong interest in fostering academic collaboration with HSM-UMT.
The session served as a valuable opportunity for students to understand the practical applications of economic research in public policy. The visit concluded with a mutual agreement between PERI and HSM-UMT to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a promising research partnership.
